A branching vase sponge (1 to 3 feet tall) with a family of sponge brittle stars (Ophiothnix suensonii). Brittle stars inhabit reefs and vary widely in color. This shot was taken at the east end of Grand Cayman at night. A pure white tube sponge with no defects. . . very unusual . . .
